New York Rowing in the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF NEW YORK CITY 2nd edition
An expanded entry on Rowing in the latest (2nd) edition of the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF NEW YORK CITY contains several references to NYRA. The entry rightfully cites our programs, signature regatta and level of participation. It also gives a solid overview of recent events and where things stand today with rowing in New York City. We are grateful that the editors decided to give the subject of Rowing more space in the second edition and our critical involvement. Per the publishers, "The new edition features more than 5,000 substantially revised entries, including 800 new entries, that help complete the story of New York. In addition, all previous entries have been updated to reflect the impact of the past two decades as well as include more in depth coverage of subject areas previously underserved. There are more than 400 new illustrations, including updated maps and contemporary photographs." If you truly love New York and want to truly know more about this great city you should definitely buy the Encyclopedia.
