NEW YORK ROWING ASSOCIATION

New York Rowing is dedicated to promoting the sport of rowing and has been doing so since 1866. Today it fulfills its mission by providing youth rowing for students of all backgrounds the opportunity to learn to row and ultimately compete at a national level, in an environment that nurtures development of character, strength of commitment and passion for excellence.

NYRA is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing competitive and recreational rowing opportunities to athletes of all skill levels.

Located just 10 miles from New York City, NYRA is on the Overpeck Lake, a calm, non-tidal waterway with no commercial traffic. Only rowers and kayakers. Our diverse membership attracts athletes primarily from New Jersey and New York City.

Don Bosco Preparatory High School,  St. Peters Preparatory High School and Manhattan College
proudly call NYRA their home.
