Learn to Row

No experience is necessary to take the learn to row classes.

The New Rochelle Rowing Club offers introductory level rowing classes for all ages. We have regularly scheduled day, evening and weekend classes available (see below). The program teaches the basics of rowing. Upon successful completion of the learn to row program you should be ready to move on to other Achquechnonk Rowing Club programs such as our recreational program or our competitive program. In addition, we offer private (one on one) lessons to fit your schedule. For more information regarding private lessons please contact Tom Curry (see below)

Information

  • We reserve the right to cancel scheduled sessions if not full by beginning of first lesson. All money paid will be refunded if cancelled.
  • There are limited seats per session. Register early!
  • Cost includes 16 hours of instruction.
  • Classes are held rain or shine (except thunderstorms or other unsafe conditions).
  • Please dress in comfortable clothing, we recommend that you dress in layers (short and long sleeve t-shirt, cycling shorts, track pants, etc), waterproof jacket, extra socks, hat / sunglasses / sunscreen, running shoes.
  • EXCEPT AS NOTED ABOVE NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE.
