Adaptive Rowing Coach (PT)
New York Rowing is looking for a dynamic and motivated Adaptive rowing coach for our Spring 2011 Junior crew program in New Rochelle, Westchester. We are willing to train, and previous experience is a plus. Compensation is based on experience and there is opportunity for growth in this expanding program!

Wanted a Regatta Director to organize and supervise approximately a dozen inaugural rowing, kayaking and dragon boat regattas at New York Rowing's Overpeck Lake site located in northern New Jersey (15 minutes from NYC) and the 2013 "Head of the Harlem River Regatta" in New York City. The duties and responsibilities of this position will include: leading/organizing volunteer and paid regatta workers, working with vendors and sponsors, assuming all responsibilities for activities on and off the racecourse, organizing competitors and spectator transportation, applying for and obtaining all necessary event permits, scheduling events, working positively with city, county and state officials. The position requires extensive work on weekends between the months of March through October. All applicants must posses the following traits: highly organized, able to work under pressure, detail oriented, a self-starter, enthusiastic, out going, friendly, a people person, even tempered, patient, and experienced in rowing events (both as a participant and organizer). Salary and bonus based upon experience and results. Our offices are located in the greatest city in the greatest city in the world (Manhattan not Brooklyn). References and a car are a must. Must be able to start work no later than February 1st 2012.
The New York Rowing Association is in search of a boatman to float between its four rowing sites in the NY metropolitan area. Primary job responsibilities include maintaining shells, oars, trailers and moving equipment on trailers when needed. Boat or auto body repair experience is a plus. Experience with simple repair on outboard motors a plus. Clean driving record is a must. We offer a competitive salary and benefits based on level and years of experience. New York Rowing is a non-profit organization, so we are always in need of reliable and dedicated volunteers! Volunteer coaches (or coaches in waiting) are needed to assist our coaching staff with practices, Learn to Row sessions, travel to regattas and other miscellaneous boathouse tasks.
