Richard Bauer, Sr., President
Susan R. Bauer, Inc.
Richard is the president of a well known and state approved steel fabrication company. Richard has worked on various high profile public projects such as the Whitestone Bride, the RFK Bridge, the Tappan Zee Bridge, etc. Richard is also the president of the New Rochelle Rowing Club, one of the oldest and most prestigious rowing clubs in the United States. Richard’s rowing experience includes the rebuilding of the New York Athletic Club Boathouse after it burnt down as well as the rehabilitation of the New Rochelle Boathouse after a devastating fire and flood. In addition, as a Member of New York Rowing, he assisted in the design and building of the finish line tower at the Orchard Beach Lagoon for the Pan Am Games trials.
Thomas P. Curry, Executive Director
New York Rowing Association
Thomas co-founded the Nereid Boat Club where he was President from 1995 until 2003. During his tenure, Nereid won 9 National Championships and 8 Royal Canadian Henley Championships. Thomas also established junior rowing programs at Don Bosco Prep, Fordham Prep, Teaneck, Montclair, Ridgewood and Westfield. At New York Rowing, Tom coached a 2- to a National Championship and they qualified to participate in the World Trials in 2008. Tom currently oversees New York Rowing’s junior programs in New York City, Northern New Jersey, and in New Rochelle. During Tom’s tenure New York Rowing Juniors have been recruited to the following schools; Harvard, Yale, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, UVA, USNA, Wisconsin, Dartmouth, Columbia, Georgetown, MIT, Northeastern Stanford, Mercyhurst, Rutgers and Wesleyan.
Salvatore Ferrera, Executive Director

The Joe DiMaggio Foundation
Salvatore was recently appointed the President of the Child School on Roosevelt Island. Salvatore was formerly the President of Xaverian High School in Brooklyn. Salvatore led the transformation of Xaverian from a struggling private high school into a premier college preparatory institution with a large endowment. While at Xaverian, Salvatore also started a program to help students with learning disabilities graduate from high school and obtain college degrees. Every student who has completed his program - 60 each year - has gone on to college. Graduates have claimed nearly $12 million in scholarship money over the last 10 years. In addition, Salvatore is the driving force behind the famed Joe DiMaggio Awards Dinner, begun in 1999 and which supports educational programs in New York City. Honorees have included Luciano Pavarotti, former Mayor Giuliani, talk show host Regis Philbin and jazz great Tony Bennett.
Joseph Langan, President

Joseph is a New York University graduate as well as the father of two current New York Rowing juniors. He is the President of River Drive Construction with over 20 years experience in construction, engineering and commercial real estate.
Vincenzo Paparo, Esq.*

Vincenzo is a native Brooklynite and a Fordham University graduate. He is a partner at Proskauer Rose, where he co-chairs the international finance and restructuring group. Vincenzo is also New York Rowing’s chairman and has been the Chairman of New York Rowing since 2001. Prior to 2001, Vincenzo rowed for Fordham University, was captain of the men’s lightweight team, and was instrumental in re-establishing the Nereid Boat Club. While at Nereid, Vincenzo helped rally community support for the boathouse project and then raised more than $1,000,000.00 to acquire land and rebuild a new boathouse facility.
Joseph P. Parkes, S.J., President
Cristo Rey New York High School
Joseph P. Parkes, S.J., is Chairman of the New York City Campaign Finance Board. He was first appointed to the Campaign Finance Board by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg on May 29, 2007 and elevated to chairman on April 8, 2008. His term will expire March 31, 2013. Joseph also sits on the Boards of Fordham University, St. Aloysius School in Central Harlem, St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, and St. Ann’s School in East Harlem.
