MASTERS LEARN TO ROW

New York Rowing Masters Learn to Row

New York Rowing is pleased to announce our summer learn to row program. WIth these two week programs we give adults at every fitness level the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rowing. Three separate sessions are being offered this summer. Rowers are welcome to sign up for one, two, or all three sessions. The goal of these programs are to prepare future rowers to be able to participate in our recreational or competitive masters rowing programs while creating a welcoming, safe, and fun environment to learn about the sport of rowing.

The majority of training during these two week sessions will take place on the water in our rowing shells. Participants will also engage in on land fitness training and basic equipment and safety workshops.

After a rower has completed the Learn to Row program, he or she is encouraged to join our masters rowers program in the Fall of 2012. Rowing is a lifelong sport that opens up a world of opportunity for every level of athlete, and is a great way for individuals to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle at any age.
